Zozibini Tunzi has been crowned Miss Universe and once again, our country has been ushered onto the winner’s podium, something we are starting to get used to.
The moment Zozibini Tunzi was crowned Miss Universe
The Miss Universe pageant took place at the Tyler Perry Studios, in Atlanta, Georgia, US, in the early hours of Monday morning (Central African Time).
It was always going to be a tough outing for Zozibini Tunzi. She was up against the rest of the world. However, her enchanting aura, the direction she took in responding to the questions, and the level of confidence she upheld throughout was enough convincing from the panel’s perspective.

In a tweet, the universal pageant queen reflected on what has been a momentous few months.
Tonight a door was opened and I could not be more grateful to have been the one to have walked through it.
May every little girl who witnessed this moment forever believe in the power of her dreams and may they see their faces reflected in mine.
