  1. Yellow level (2) warning: Severe thunderstorms associated with heavy downpours are expected over the northern parts of KZN, which may lead to localized flooding of susceptible roads and low lying bridges.
  2. Yellow level (1) warning: Severe thunderstorms with heavy downpours, hail and excessive lightning is expected over the escarpment and the eastern interior of Eastern Cape.

Gauteng:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with afternoon isolated showers and thundershowers.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the south-east. widespread showers and thundershowers are expected in the extreme south-east.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers in the south.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers but isolated in the north.

Free State:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm except in the extreme west, with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the extreme north-east.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly moderating by the evening.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Fine over the west, otherwise cloudy to partly cloudy with isolated showers along the South coast clearing from the west by the afternoon.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-easterly but strong between Cape Columbine and Betty’s Bay by the afternoon, becoming easterly along the south coast by the evening.

Eastern Cape:

The Western halfTemperature: Cloudy with fog in places over the interior in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers in the north from the afternoon, but cool with light rain in the south east.

The Western Half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south easterly in the east until the afternoon, otherwise moderate to fresh north easterly, but easterly in the west during the afternoon.

The Eastern halfTemperature: Morning fog in places south of the escarpment, otherwise cloudy and cool with scattered showers and thundershowers, but isolated in the south west. It will be warm in the north.

The Eastern halfWind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north easterly, but moderate to fresh easterly during the afternoon.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Morning fog over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy to cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers, but widespread over the northern parts where severe thunderstorms are expected.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate northerly to north-easterly north of Kosi Bay spreading to Richards Bay by the evening, otherwise southerly to south-westerly becoming easterly to south-easterly south of Richards Bay in the late afternoon.
