  1. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the interior of Namakwa District, in the Northern Cape, the Central Karoo District in the Western Cape, as well as the north-western parts of the Eastern Cape.

Gauteng:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers but isolated in the extreme south.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Cloudy in the east, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Cloudy in the east, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the south-west.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine and warm to hot becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the extreme north-east.

Free State:

Temperature: Fine in the central and southern parts at first, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers in the east.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Cloudy and warm with light rain in the southern highground at first and fog along the coast in the morning, otherwise fine and hot to very hot becoming partly cloudy.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be light north-westerly, becoming moderate southerly from the afternoon.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Cloudy to partly cloudy and cold to warm with rain in the morning along the coast and southern interior.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-easterly, becoming strong easterly along the south coast in the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.

Eastern Cape:

The Western halfTemperature: Partly cloudy and very hot, but hot in the extreme west. It will be warm in places along the coast.

The Western Half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly, becoming light and variable west of Cape St. Francis from late afternoon.

The Eastern halfTemperature: Cloudy with slight chances of drizzle along the coast in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated thunderstorms in the extreme east.

The Eastern halfWind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong north-easterly.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Cloudy with rain along the coast and fog over the interior at first, otherwise partly cloudy and warm.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be Moderate southerly to south-easterly north of Mandeni in the morning, otherwise moderate to fresh north-easterly.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.
