It’s time to do some seriously unwelcome admin again, folks – Eskom have announced that Stage 2 load shedding will resume from 17:00 – 22:00 on Tuesday 8 June, and you’re going to want to see when the lights are scheduled to go out in your area this evening.

LOAD SHEDDING SCHEDULE FOR GAUTENG: 

  • Go to the City Power homepage and type in your suburb.
  • This will give a direct update on when load shedding is expected for you and your regional community.
  • You can also get a weekly on monthly overview by using this calendar
  • Of course, if you have your block number memorised, you can check in with City Power’s Twitter updates.

PRETORIA/TSHWANE 

CAPE TOWN

  • Find the “block” you live in, by using this map.
  • Once you’ve identified which block you’re in, consult the table which features below.
  • Find the correct date, scroll down, and identify which time period your block appears in.
  • On some occasions, the City of Cape Town has a slightly altered load shedding schedule.

Durban

Port Elizabeth (PE)/Gqeberha

  • The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality arguably has the leas user-friendly load shedding schedule BUT be that as it may….it has all the details you will ever need.
