Acting Provincial Commissioner for KwaZulu-Natal, Major General Thulani Gonya, condemned the ‘flashy fraudster’ while sympathising with the victims. He described the whole affair as a ‘heart-breaking ordeal’ for those affected.

“I am pleased with the arrest of the fraudster and the seizure of SASSA cards. It is heart-breaking to learn that there are people who are robbing our citizens who wait anxiously for their money but only to be disappointed when no monies are paid into their accounts.
