On this article, I will be sharing with you, the 9 Things all confident Women have done to overcome their Self-Doubt. It seems amazing that some Women thing they’re the only ones experiencing self-doubt. Please know that it likely affects a higher percentage of women, but their ability to overcome it has put them today, in a place where they are figures to millions of Young ladies and women around the world.
Hey there, are you feeling a little down in the dumps about yourself? Do you know that the trick to being more confident is easier than you actually think it is?.
Sometimes you have to fake it until you make it.
Here on HotSugarMummy, this is the tips and tricks confident women use to overcome self-doubt and rule their world:
1. Focus On Yourself Instead of Comparing
The very first step to overcoming self-doubt is this: STOP Comparing yourself with others!
Yes, I know you’ve heard this you’re unique bla, bla and bla, but until you stop comparing yourself and start focusing on how to better yourself, you’ll never destroy self-doubt. At the end of the day, comparing yourself to others is a no-win situation.
First of all, you don’t have nearly enough facts about anyone’s life to accurately compare your life to theirs. So it’s basically impossible for you to be able to judge whether or not they’re actually doing as well as you think, or are simply awesome at putting up a successful veneer.
One thing that happens, always occurs when you compare yourself to someone else, is this;
You actually don’t tend to take into account the differences in how long they’ve been working to achieve a certain goal compared to how long you have.
The only person it’s really fair to compare yourself to is a former version of yourself, whom you should aim to be better than.
2. Identify the Source of Your Negative Beliefs
So you think you can’t do it or aren’t good enough? Why is that exactly?
Rather than just accept an outlook as true only because you have believed in it for so long, you should ask yourself when and where you formed that opinion that is negativing affecting your life.
When you ask yourself these questions, you may discover that some of your opinions about yourself are long outdated beliefs that stem from as far back as childhood which isn’t true today.
When you come to this conclusion, this will be the beginning of a long process of replacing old ideas with new ones. Instead of asking “but what if…” start asking “why not?” This is the real question to ask yourself.
3. Focus On Your Successes Rather Than Your Failures
This is so true today, I have a friend who purchased a piece of land at a very tender age, and still thinks he’s a failure. The moment you start counting your successes rather than your failures, that is the moment you’ll start rebuilding your confidence to the highest level.
Please stop identifying with your failures and under-achievements. It’s sad that at age 30, you have a car, but because Andrey has two cars, you automatically become a failure.
For some reason which will take long to explain, many of us seem to have made it a life goal of ignoring all the compliments, goals met, achievements we get, in favor of that one stray critical remarks that is sure going to ruin your day.
In all honesty, this is one habit that is quite tough to break, but forcing yourself to turn things around can be life-changing and will make a happier you.
The next time you’re feeling down about yourself, take a pen, sit down and write out a list of all the things you’ve achieved, sweet compliments that people have offered you, and even qualities that you consider to be your best assets, you’ll know that Life is great.
Now, to build your confidence continuously, you can paste this list on your room wall or even keep this list around, where you can constantly keep it updated with your achievements and compliments.

4. Stay Away From Haters
This is one of the strongest avenue self-doubts come from. Haters seem to generate self-doubt in us like Transformers. If you have a friend that is constantly reminding you about your flaws, you’ve got a fri_enemy, and to get your happiness back, delete them off your life, it may be the saddest moment, but trust me, it’s for a better tomorrow.
When you allow someone else to interfere with your positive self-view, then the odds are that you’ve given them way too much power to control how you see and think about yourself.
The next time you feel like someone is judging you, you should try to picture your entire life as a graph, from the moment you were born right up until now. Think of all the millions of experiences, thoughts, and feelings that you’ve been through.
Then try and come up with a percentage of exactly how many of them the other person is aware of, gone through or has experienced, then you should ask yourself who gave them the right to judge you or your actions.
If it’s someone you don’t know well, then the odds of that percentage being even 1 are extremely low.
When you look at it from that perspective, the idea that anyone has the right to judge you is actually pretty ridiculous and honestly, foolish.
5. Ditch the Excuses
Another working method to erase self doubt from your life is ditching excuses. Are you worried about what will happen if you fail? now, be ready for this shocking truth.
The same thing that will happen if you never try.
Unless you at least give something a shot, then the answer is already no, because you didn’t even try, You’ve already chosen the negative side of the situation even before taking the first step.
The truth is that success doesn’t usually come to people who never make mistakes, it always comes to people who have made mistakes and learn from them. Success usually comes to people who make plenty of them but don’t allow that to keep them from trying again and again.
6. Consciously Cultivate Self-Love and Acceptance
Self-love and accept yourself the way you are. If you want a face like Beyonce, a body like Niki Minaj and Voice like Selena Gomez, then you’re certainly on a path of self-hate. Because if you don’t accept yourself the way you are, you’ll never be happy enough to be confident in yourself.
Learning to love and accept yourself is a process that comes easier to some people than others.
However, the most important thing to remember here, is that it’s an active journey and that as long as you stay on the right path, you’ll make progress.
To achieve this goal, I’ll advise that you try out things like journaling, even if it’s just writing out three pages of whatever happens to be in your head every day, as quickly as you can. You’ll be stunned how many of your own problems you begin to identify and solve.
7. Realizing It’s Okay To Be Nervous
You think Confident people are not nervous? They’re super nervous but always picture a happy ending to any situation before even taking the first step. Even though this may sound a little like a Pinterest pin, the truth is that if your dreams don’t scare the hell out of you, then they’re either not big enough or you’re not going for them like you should.
When you’re working to achieve something you love, of course, it will be scary and somethings seems impossible, that’s how you know that it means a lot to you and the achieving part!
To achieve a goal, you should come to that realization that fear isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as long as you work through it rather than let it hold you back from going after your goals. Which may turn out to be the thing you’ll regret the most when you grow older.
8. Break Your Goals Down
This is an important section, which I carefully placed under the “7: Realizing it’s okay to be nervous”. When you really want to achieve something, the temptation can be great, leading you to believe that you have to go from 0 to 60 within 10 seconds. You see, life does not work that way. Only lotto winners life changes that fast.
In reality, nothing could be further from the truth. This type of “all or nothing” thinking can actually keep you from acting, executing your plans to achieve your goals, due to the fear of having to do everything right this moment.
Instead, you should start from the first level. Try breaking down your goals into a series of incredibly specific actions. This will help you work on a little each day if need be, to build a successful life, business, home, etc, you don’t accomplish everything a day.
For instance, rather than thinking you have to write that entire novel tonight, how about committing to writing at least one or two pages a day. Or even just outlining it now?
It’s in your hands to choose whether Today is DAY ONE or I’ll start ONE DAY
9. Allow Your Mind To Follow Your Actions
Lastly on this list is your freedom, Mental freedom is quite important in overcoming self-doubts and building confidence. Let’s face it, no matter how much you love yourself or how big of an awesome streak you’re on, you’re gonna have bad days, we all do, even the most awesome, Beautiful and richest Celebrities.
Sometimes, the key is in just doing the things you know you’re supposed to or need to do anyway, even if you’re not 100% into it.
It’s much better than falling prey to letting your emotions control your actions, it is better to just show up and act and you’ll discover that your emotions will eventually have a way of following suit.
This is why when successful people are sad, stressful or angry, they Jog, Run or generally exercise. This pushes their mind and let it follows their action, freely their thoughts and mind, creating a better environment for positive energy.
